Criteria for General Members for (CYA)
Supportive Member
A Supportive Member is someone who is not attuned to Yoga, nor do they wish to be, but they do support the efforts of the Canadian Yoga Association and wish to be a part of the movement. Supportive Members need not sign the (CYA) Code of Ethics as they do not practice Yoga; therefore, there are no qualifications for supportive members.

Student Member
To qualify for this level of membership, the applicant must be attuned to Yoga and have taken Yoga (CYA) Courses either through online programs or classrooms from our Yoga (CYA) associations members and be able to produce proof of this.. Student Members must sign and agree to abide by the CYA Code of Ethics and sign such form.

Criteria for Registered Members
If a Student Member wishes to continue with their training and apply for Canadian Yoga Association (CYA) Registered Yoga Training Practitioner, this can be achieved by taking our online (CYA)) Yoga Certified Teacher Training Program, either online or through our (CYA) member teachers in your area.
All courses will include a Certification of completion should the students achieve a mark of at least 60% or greater on each course. (CYA) decisions are final in arriving at the final mark for each course. Completion of all courses on the Canadian Yoga Association Teacher Certificate Program (WYAT) will be provided a Certificate of Completion Diploma to be used in Teaching Yoga.

Registered Teacher (WYAT) Practitioner
The applicant will sign and abide by the CYA Code of Ethics and the Disciplinary Action Policy form.

Registered Teacher
To qualify as a (WYAT) Registered Teacher, the member will have studied and successfully completed the minimum teaching requirements for the style of Yoga they studied which will consist of taking the Yoga Studies though our online training program (WYAT) or through a member who provides our complete (WYAT) training program. The member will read, sign and agree to abide by the Code of Ethics
Registered Teacher applicants must be submitted to the (CYA) or associated school (CYA) associations copies of their class outlines in theory and practical for review by the (CYA) Board with proof of studies. Class outlines must be approved prior to Registered Membership status being granted. Class outlines may be submitted in canadianyogaassociation@gmail.com or through our member associations or associated school in your area.
At the successful completion of the (WYAT) the student will receive a personal diploma complete with a (WYAT) I.D member Number.
